How to draw on 2D planes and in 3D spaces

The Pen tool is used to draw shapes on 2D planes.

Press
p
+spacebar
activate the Pen tool**.** The Pen tool can also be accessed under the Draw menu in the top toolbar -
Once active, click to place a point in the scene and begin to draw. Repeat to draw a shape

Click the first point to close the shape
To edit the curve, double click on the curve and the points will appear. Click and drag the points and curve handles around to adjust.

Select the curve in the scene

Navigate to the ‘Planar Curve’ section of the Properties Panel

Adjust the Fill style and extrude the curve to create 3D geometry

Select the curve in the scene

Navigate to the ‘Planar Curve’ section of the Properties Panel

Adjust the Pipe style to create geometry along the curve

The Line tool is used to draw shapes in a 3D space.

Press

activate the Line tool. The Linr tool can also be accessed under the Draw menu in the top toolbar -
Once active, click to place a point in the scene and begin to draw. Repeat to draw a shape

Click the first point to close the shape
To edit the line, double click on the curve and the points will appear. Click and drag the points around to adjust.

Select the curve in the scene

Navigate to the ‘3D Curve’ section of the Properties Panel

Adjust the Pipe style to create geometry along the curve
